Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated by millions of Indians across the world.

As we gear up for Diwali celebrations, most of us might have already decided on the outfit and makeup, but are rather confused regarding the hairstyle. We dread the idea of creating new hairstyles for every occasion, and it usually involves too much money, effort, and time to get a rocking hairdo. So, to avoid the cost of a salon visit, we simply bring out our curling tongs and flat irons.

Whether it’s a simple saree or a heavy-duty lehenga, a neat updo adds elegance to any outfit. So girls, shake your worries off and make your Diwali special with these five easy to do hairstyles. They are all very elegant and can be easily done at home.

1. Twist And Pin

This is a fun hairstyle and looks super cute. Whether you have short, medium, or long hair, you can easily sport this twisted hairdo.

All you have to do is partition your hair, section out a small piece of hair from one side of the partition, twist your hair, and keep the hair in place using a bobby pin. You can also secure the pins in a criss-cross pattern so that it looks more attractive. Repeat the steps on the other side of the partition as well.

Sweep all the fringes away from your face for a more sophisticated look.

2. Messy Side Bun

A messy side bun not only looks adorable, but is quite easy to do as well. It goes best with almost all Diwali outfits and is ideal for girls with medium-length or long hair.

You just have to follow a few simple steps: make a low side ponytail, twist it into a bun, and secure it with bobby pins. Loosen a few strands of hair to give the bun a messy look.

Ta-dah! The side bun is ready. You can always play around with your bun and come up with some new and interesting patterns.

Accessorize the bun with flowers for a feminine and unique look.

3. The Wavy Hairdo

Make this hairstyle a fashion statement by partitioning your hair in the middle and then creating a few soft waves at the ends. Pair this hairdo with a saree or a ghaghra, and I bet you’ll be the center of attraction this Diwali!

You can accentuate the look by wearing a ‘maang tika’ or a tiara.

4. Side Swept Hair

The best way to flaunt your voluminous, shiny hair is by not tying your hair with bands and pins. Just sweep your hair sideways and let it fall on your shoulder. This is one of those hairstyles that look amazing with any outfit.

5. Twisted Side Braid

A twisted side braid is one of the most simple, yet chic hairstyles that you should try this Diwali. If you have long hair, it is the best hairstyle to carry, and it looks stunning with all those bright outfits. Pair it up with big chunky earrings to add to the glamor.
