7 Popular Doppelganger Siblings of Bollywood

Siblings—you cannot live without them, you cannot live with them. We’ve seen siblings who are very close to each other and some who just tolerate each other. Some of them have personalities that are poles apart and some are exactly the same. We’ve all seen siblings who look nothing like each other, one of them looks like the mother and the other like the father but some look exactly alike (No, I’m not talking about twins). But just like identical twins, they share the same looks that we mistake one for the other. Here are some popular celebrity siblings who look so alike that we find it hard to believe that they are not twins:

1. Taapsee Pannu and Shagun Pannu

Taapsee Pannu is an Indian actress who made her Bollywood debut in Chashme Baddoor in 2013 before which she was known for acting in several Telugu and Tamil movies. Since her first Bollywood movie, she has done many more films that have done well in the box office such as Pink, Badla and Manmarziyaan. She has a younger sister, Shagun Pannu, who owns an event management company and has no intention of joining the film industry. The two sisters share a deep bond and it is quite clear in the pictures they put up on social media. Although Taapsee has curly hair and Shagun has straight hair, the two sisters share the same heartwarming smile.

2. Anupam Kher and Raju Kher

We all know the famous and talented Anupam Kher who has acted in over 500 films. He was the former Chairman of Film and Television Institute of India and has received several prestigious awards during his career in the industry. He is known to play negative and positive roles and has impressed many of us throughout the years. However, his brother Raju Kher is an Indian actor and director who has not done as well as his brother but he is known for directing the television serial Sanskar in 1999. The two talented sets of brothers share a resemblance that cannot be ignored.

3. Shakti Mohan and Mukti Mohan

The dancer siblings have appeared together in many dance reality shows. Shakti Mohan was the winner of the famous Dance India Dance season 2 where she won the hearts of millions of fans with her talent. She was also a finalist in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2014. Her sister Mukti Mohan, also an exceptionally talented dancer, excels in contemporary form of dance. Not only do they look alike but they also have dance skills that can kill! The two sisters have a YouTube channel called Nritya Shakti and impress us with their different dance forms.

4. Farah Khan and Sajid Khan

The well known Khan siblings of Bollywood, Farah Khan and Sajid Khan are both successful directors and producers of the industry. Farah Khan is also an excellent choreographer and has been a judge in multiple TV shows like Dance India Dance Super Moms and Indian Idol among others. Her brother Sajid Khan is a popular filmmaker, screenwriter, and talk show host. In 2018 he was accused of multiple cases of harassment when the wave of the #MeToo movement hit the film industry. He was directing Housefull 4 at the time and stepped down as the director. He was suspended by the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association for a year. Farah and Sajid have been one of the most popular director-producer sibling duos and they share a resemblance that is hard to overlook.

5. Bhumi Pednekar and Samiksha Pednekar

Bhumi Pednekar is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi films. Before her entry into films, she worked as an assistant director at Yash Raj Films for six years. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance in the comedy film Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Her sister Samiksha Pednekar who is five years younger is as gorgeous as her and also smart. She is a lawyer by professon and is the spitting image of her sister.

6. Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor

Another doppelganger sibling duo is the Kapoor brothers who are mirror images of each other. Anil Kapoor, known for his gifted acting ability has even reached Hollywood films. He worked in the Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire along with Gulzar and A.R Rahman. His brother Sanjay Kapoor has not flourished with fame like him. Nevertheless, Sanjay founded Sanjay Kapoor Entertainment Private Limited along with his wife Mahdeep Sandhu.

7. Bharti Singh and Pinky Singh

Famous comedian and television show host, Bharti Singh is known for her stand-up comedy. She has also participated in dance reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Nach Baliye. Apart from this she was also a participant in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi and hosted several other shows. Her sister Pinky Singh and she are quite close. Not only that, but they also share the same height, identical features, and the same smile. They were seen together at Bharti’s wedding and the resemblance they share is uncanny.

While many of these siblings are not necessarily pursuing the same career, they seem to share more than just a close bond. They also share their looks, features, height, smile and, build.
