The human body is the most beautiful and complex creation you’ll ever come across. And a woman’s body especially has been crafted to perfection; every mechanism that takes place in a woman’s body is so divine. Also, let’s not forget how complicated a woman’s body is because, throughout its life, a woman’s body keeps undergoing changes.
A woman’s reproductive organs are one of the most important parts of the body. And they need more care and attention. But oftentimes women don’t really bother much about their health down there. They either don’t care much or it’s just that they are embarrassed to go visit a gynecologist and get themselves checked for problems. The reproductive system of a woman is a miraculous force of nature and it needs all the attention and care it deserves. We should never ignore anything concerning it. Here’s a list of health issues that women end up ignoring until they’ve turned into a major health issue. Read it till the end and understand that your well-being dear women need to be your topmost priority.
1. The Spotting Problem
Spotting can be referred to as the extremely light bleeding (almost like spots) that happen in between your periods i.e. outside your menstrual cycle (1). If you thought that this was fine, well, it surely isn’t! The reasons for spotting can be many — skipping birth control pills, stress, the existence of cysts in your ovaries, and many more.
Spotting signals out most of the time that your body is under too much stress. Therefore follow self-care routines — take that warm bath, get a massage done, or just read your favorite book or listen to your favorite track. Remember, your health is more important than that deadline you need to meet at work. And if you think stress isn’t causing the spotting, get yourself checked with a gynecologist and find what has caused a drift in your hormones which is leading to this problem.
2. The Vaginitis Risk
Another word for this would be inflammation of down there. The inflammation can cause bad odor, pain, discharge, and itchiness (2). It doesn’t sound lovely, right? One good news about this is that isn’t always infectious. The inflammation generally sprouts because of using the wrong products to clean your down there. Soaps, intimate washes, tampons, and lubricants can cause the infection. Therefore, to avoid inflammation you need to use natural, unscented products that will help maintain the natural pH levels down there. If you think you have infectious vaginitis, visit a gynecologist immediately.
3. The Discomfort Caused By Dryness
Every woman is aware that a dry downstairs can ruin even the most beautiful day. The dryness is usually caused because of menopause, childbirth, breastfeeding or hormonal imbalance (3).
However, it can be taken care of by using lubricants that have natural ingredients. Just make sure to not ignore the dryness problem; you don’t want it to elevate further into something more troublesome, do you?
4. The Cysts Problem
They say that cysts usually disappear with time. The vulvar cysts appear likely on the external skin whereas vaginal cysts appear inside the wall of the vagina (4).
The best home remedy for this problem would be to soak yourself in Sitz bath. But if you think the cysts are infected, it would be ideal to go visit the gynecologist and get scans done.
5. The Danger Of Synthetic And Tight Underwear
Yes, we understand that silk panties feel good and look attractive. But dear ladies turns out those tight garments cause friction and heat down there. This could lead to bacterial infections. So, the next time you pick underwear make sure it’s made of cotton and is of the correct fit. Too loose or too tight is a big no-no!
6. Problems Of Overzealous Cleaning
We know that most of the women like their downstairs to be extra clean and smelling like a flower. This is a very good thing! But over cleaning your down there with chemically overloaded products is not a good idea. It’s better to opt for natural, unscented products that will help maintain your intimate hygiene in the best way possible.
7. Bad Body Odor Because Of What You Eat
We’re not saying that you’re broccoli just because you eat it a lot. But, indeed, the scents of lady body parts are often influenced by what one eats (5). So, if you smell like cinnamon or pineapple, or even the thought of something similar occurs, it might be right (giggles). So, always keep a watch on what you eat. Eat healthy and eat clean.
So, how many of you women out there take care of your private parts? And how many of you have skipped a health checkup only because you feel embarrassed to consult a gynecologist? Let us know in the comments section below.
