How To Get Fair Skin With Aloe Vera Gel

How many times have you been outside in this searing heat, covering yourself head to toe with scarfs, having applied a generous amount of sunscreen, hoping against hope that the sun doesn’t mar your complexion, only to be disappointed? It’s true, the long summer witnessed by our country, takes a toll on our skin, despite taking all the precautions. Included in this article are the recipes for a few face packs that employ aloe vera gel as their main ingredient and are said to give you a glowing complexion. Aloe vera gel is a miraculous ingredient which has multiple functions such as being an antiseptic, an anti-aging agent, an anti-viral, etc. Though one function of it that is instrumental in providing you with a rosy glow is that it can undo and to an extent alleviate the damage done to the skin by the sun (1). Here’s what you’ll need to prepare this face pack:

  • 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel
  • 1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder
  • 2 tablespoons of cold milk
How To Use
  • Take a small container and transfer all the ingredients to it and mix them well.
  • Apply the resulting mixture on your face and neck, massaging it in gently using circular motions with your hands.
  • Leave it on for about 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.
  • Apply this face pack twice a week to get noticeable results.

Here’s what you’ll need to prepare this face pack :

  • 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato juice
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
How To Use
  • Take a small container and transfer all the ingredients to it and mix them well to form a smooth paste.
  • Wash your face with lukewarm water and then apply the paste on your face. Let it stay on for 25 minutes.
  • Wash off the dried-up paste by rinsing it with cold water.
  • Apply this face pack twice or thrice a week to get noticeable results.

Here’s what you’ll need to prepare this face pack :

  • 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • Fresh orange peels
How To Use
  • Transfer these ingredients to a blender and blend them well to form a paste.
  • Now, apply this paste on those areas of your face and neck which have become tanned.
  • Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water.
  • To reap the maximum benefits, we would advise you to use this face pack twice or at the most, thrice a week.

Here’s what you’ll need to prepare this face pack:

  • 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel
  • One egg
How To Use
  • Crack the egg in a bowl, taking care to only transfer the white portion of it.
  • Following that, add the aloe vera gel to the container and whisk the two substances well to form a paste with a smooth, fluffy consistency.
  • Once you’ve done that, take a flat brush and use it to apply the paste on your face and neck. Now leave it on for about 15 minutes to harden.
  • Once it has hardened, remove it by wiping it away with the help of a cotton swab dipped in cold water.
  • You can use this face pack once a week to get definite results.

These were some of our best DIY remedies that can get you your glowing complexion back in no time. Though all of them have aloe vera gel as their main ingredient, the other ingredients do the job of nourishing your skin, while the aloe works to undo the damage done by the sun.

Sandalwood acts as an astringent and helps in removing tan, whereas tomato works as an anti-aging agent and fights cellular damage (2), (3). Orange peel’s anti-microbial properties help in fighting acne and oily skin, and egg nourishes the skin from within to make it healthy (4), (5).
