Saif Ali Khan Reveals The One Thing That Keeps The Spark Alive In His Marriage

When it comes to marriage, love is not the only thing that keeps it going. A successful marriage involves commitment, compromises, sacrifices and a whole lot of mutual understanding. When a couple has been married for a long time, it is necessary to break out of routine and do something exciting. It helps keep the spark alive and the chemistry going. It enables the couple to fall in love every day with their partner irrespective of the time they’ve spent with each other and that is what defines a thriving marriage. As most of us know, one of the most successful marriages of Bollywood celebrities is none other than that of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. They are the perfect example of a happily married couple and have set the bar high for other couples out there.

Recently, Saif opened up about their marriage in an interview with his wife, Kareena Kapoor. On her radio show, What Women Want, Saif Ali Khan spoke about the importance of trying new things and bringing freshness into the marriage to avoid repetitive and mundane experiences. He said that he believes the key to a successful marriage is to respect your partner’s life without trying to control it and he has learned this from his parents’ marriage. They also spoke about gender roles and how it is important to share different duties as a couple. What a modern marriage requires is an equal partnership because when both the partners are working, it is fundamental that they share responsibilities and duties instead of pawning them off on one person.

Saifeena: The Love Story

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are one of the finest couples of Bollywood. Both hailing from acting backgrounds, they perfectly balance their professional as well as personal lives. The Nawab of Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan has made a name for himself in the industry by acting in more than 60 movies while Kareena Kapoor is one of the most respected and powerful actresses of Bollywood. Unlike what people might say, it was not a love that started instantly. They worked together in the movie LOC Kargil in 2003 and the super hit film Omkara in 2006. In 2008, they came together once again to shoot the movie Tashan and that is when the magic happened. They feel in love on the sets of Tashan and it has been a beautiful journey ever since. In an interview, Kareena said that she wore her heart on her sleeve and fell for him hook, line and sinker. She said that while they were shooting in Ladakh, they would go on long bike rides and enjoy the scenic beauty and bond with great conversations.

Another fact that most of you might not know is that just a year into the relationship, Saif got Kareena’s name tattooed on his arm and the news spread like wildfire when it was spotted by paparazzi. Ever since they started dating, they have given fans major couple goals and their cute pictures have been admired by everyone. After being in a relationship for five years, the couple decided to tie the knot on 16th October 2012. Saifeena (as they are called by fans) had a private but grand wedding which lasted for an entire week. They celebrated their sangeet in Kareena’s house in Bandra.

In 2016, they were blessed with a baby boy and the news broke the internet. Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi became a viral sensation on his first day in the world after Saif shared a picture of the baby and him giving Kareena a forehead kiss at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Ever since then the cute family is spotted during vacations and enjoying quiet dinners together.

The Balance Between Saifu And Bebo’s Relationship

In an interview, Saif said that their relationship has remained rewarding because of how they value the quality time they spend together. He said that Bebo encourages relationships and friendships outside the industry and doing simple things like cooking, hanging out with friends, spending time away, etc are what keeps things interesting.
What is great about their relationship is that they both respect and appreciate each other and are not afraid to express it. They value each other, encourage and celebrate each other’s achievements which go a long way for them. While Saif and Kareena are acing marriage, they are also doing quite well in the professional front. Saif’s latest release Tanhaji was received well among the audience. He also entered the world of Netflix with his web series Sacred Games for which he was praised. As for Bebo, she has been a part of super hit films in the past and her upcoming movie Angrezi Medium is set to release this year.
