They say breakups hurt the most, but what about the feeling when you see your expensive makeup products break before you can use them to your heart’s content? Well, fret not, for we have the perfect solution to make them as good as new! In this article, we will share some tips to give a new life to your damaged makeup products so you can use them even if they have undergone some accidents. Read on!

1. Disinfecting Your Face Powder

Most of us use face powder almost every day, so it needs to be cleaned to ensure that it does not block pores and cause skin problems. To disinfect your face powder, you will need a clean napkin, alcohol, and some glycerin. Start by mixing the glycerin and alcohol to make an even paste and add it to your powder. Carefully layer it on the surface of the powder, and use the napkin to soak the alcohol mixture away. This will help to disinfect your face powder without drying it.

2. Using Your Lipstick As A Blush

A blush can make you look radiant and youthful like nothing else, and the good news is that you can easily create the blush effect with the help of your favorite lipstick. All you need to do is make tiny dots of your lipstick on the highest point of your cheek and blend them towards the side of your face. Make sure you add small amounts of lipstick as a beginner and keep adding more tint as you master the technique.

3. Reusing Fake Eyelashes

Fake lashes can boost your eye makeup like nothing else. But the real challenge is keeping them fresh looking even after multiple uses. To keep them looking fresh, all you need is shampoo, tweezers, and some water. Start by adding a spoonful of shampoo in a water bowl and place the lashes in it. Stir the water and use tweezers to remove the lashes from the bowl. Make sure the lashes are completely dry before storing them.

4. Alternative Way To Apply Your Eyeliner

Wait till we tell you this! You can use eyeliner even if you can’t find your eyeliner brush. Sounds unbelievable doesn’t it! All you need to do is, apply the eyeliner on your nail and print it on the edge of your eye. This helps you create a cat eye effect without the need for any tools. However, be very careful before bringing your nails near your eyes as the skin near your eyes is more sensitive than the rest of your body and can bruise easily.

5. Fixing A Broken Lip Gloss Bottle

If you have accidentally cracked or broken your lip gloss bottle, we will tell you how to fix it on your own. All you will need is a small pastry bag, an empty lip gloss bottle, and scissors. Start by collecting the gloss using the applicator and put it in the pastry bag. Once you have extracted most of the gloss, snip the cone of the bag and push the gloss into the new bottle. This is how you can save the day and retrieve your expensive lip gloss!

6. Using A Concealer Correctly

The trick to using the concealer is to open the stopper on the bottle and use the entire product. If you feel the concealer is not coming out as easily as it did when you first bought it, remove the stopper and then pour the amount you need for your makeup application.

7. Fixing A Broken Eyeshadow Box

Eyeshadow boxes often crack because of their material and delicate hinging. But even if your box cracks or breaks you can make them good as new by following these steps. Start by removing the eyeshadow pieces and transferring them into a beaker. Grind them with a spoon till they turn into a fine powder. Get an empty pallet and pour the eyeshadow powder into the box. You can use a spoon to set the eyeshadow in the box.

8. Renewing Your Lipstick

If your favorite lipstick snaps, here is how to revive it. You will need a glass beaker, lipstick molds, and an old lipstick bar. Start by placing pieces of your old lipstick in a glass beaker and heating it till it melts completely. Pour the liquid lipstick into the mold and let it solidify. Now, you have your favorite lipstick in a new case!

As a makeup lover, seeing your favorite products break can make your heart ache, but thankfully now you know how to repair them and make them usable. Make sure you maintain good hygiene and store them properly after use. Also, it is important to follow the expiry dates to ensure you get the best results.
