1. Get Yourself Chapsticks To Help Smoothen Those Flyaways

Flyaways are a major problem while styling your hair. Even on days when you just want to tie your hair up in a ponytail, we have those short hair strands that get in front of our eyes or inside our mouth while we’re talking. To combat this issue, we end up pinning our hair up with gazillion hairpins.

What Instagram showed us is to use chapstick to settle down the flyaways. We know, we know, that it’s meant for lips. But turns out that it causes no harm when used on hair. Just take some in your palms, rub it between your palms and press down the flyaways on your head. You’re done! It works exactly like a serum and settles down the dry flyaways.

2. Itchy Scalp? Rinse It With Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has become a boon to the millennial generation now (Which is us, of course). If your scalp feels really itchy, consider rinsing it with apple cider vinegar. ACV is known to deep condition scalp and hair. It also balances the pH levels too. Rinsing with ACV will help you solve all your hair and scalp issues — dead skin, dandruff, and itchiness. It will make your hair shinier and softer. And if you’re worried about the smell of ACV, well, don’t! Because the smell perishes after a good hair wash. And you can always apply your favorite hair serum if you still have your doubts about the smell.

3. Get Rid Of Those Split Ends Using This Trick

Split ends occur as a result of overexposure of our tresses to extensive heat (both natural and the heat from hair styling). It can also be because of the dryness of hair, etc. So, how do we deal with it? We cannot really go visiting our favorite salon on a regular basis — we know that a split end cut never ends there. The stylists will lure you into a short hair trim and this might lead to a hair spa or a new hair cut altogether. All this will burn a big fat hole in our pockets, won’t it? So, it’s best to do it yourself at home. You just need to know the right technique to do so. Check the above video out and try it yourself. You will just need a pair of scissors and a steady hand.

4. For A Thicker Hairline, Use Your Eyeshadows

At times, when we tie our hair up, we notice bald spots and thinning hair that make us feel like we are going bald already. It’s normal to notice this as each one of us has different hairlines. Our scalps are all differently shaped, you see. But, if you still want to do away with those visible hairlines, take your eyeshadow pencil out. Use your eyeshadow pencils to fill in the gaps in between your hair. This hack will hardly take 60 seconds to create the illusion of a head full of hair.

5. Make Use Of Dish Sponges To Curl Your Hair

Haha! Yes, you read that right peeps! Get yourself heatless curls with the help of those sponges you generally use to wash your dishes. Take a dish sponge (of course, make sure they are the ones that were never used) and roll your hair around it. Put a rubber band and seal the sponge with your hair. Sleep and wake up in the morning and remove the sponges from your hair. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the natural curls in your hair. The size of the sponge depends on the thickness of your hair. The thicker the hair is, the bigger the sponge needs to be.

Aren’t these hacks easy to pull off? We don’t have to fret over hairstyling disasters anymore.

These were our top 5 picks. You can always customize the hair hacks and also research to suit your needs. Instagram is filled with plenty of hacks. But, you have to let us know in the comments below if you found any better ones, deal? Deal.
