Kajal Aggarwal is planning on tying the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony with her fiancé Gautam and took to her Instagram to announce her upcoming nuptials. On Wednesday, Kajal’s family organized a traditional Mehendi ceremony for her, and she was pictured in a gorgeous green printed salwar kameez. The event was held in a private fashion and the Darling actress has given her followers a few glimpses into what her plans for the future are. Kajal had earlier shared an announcement on her Instagram profile about her wedding. She spoke about how her and her fiancé Gautam are planning on tying the knot in a private ceremony in Mumbai with only close family members in attendance. Kajal spoke about how the pandemic had “shed a sobering light on their joy”, but that they were thrilled to start the journey of their life together. She thanked her followers for all the love that they had shared with her over the years and added that they sought their blessings for the union. She even added that she will continue with her career as an actress and do her best to entertain her fans and that she now has a new meaning and purpose.
Many of Kajal’s peers and fellow actresses took to the comments section of her post to share their blessings. Samantha Akkineni of Super Deluxe fame wrote, “Congratulations dear Kajal! Wishing the both of you only love and joy and a lifetime of togetherness.” Pink actress Taapsee Pannu wrote, “Congratulations!! Wishing all the love and happiness in this new chapter of life.” Many of Kajal’s other friends shared their blessings and wished her well on her new journey with a life partner. Kajal shared pictures of herself and Gautam on her Instagram for the first time and wished her fans a Happy Dussehra. Her sister Nisha too, took to social media to share an adorable picture of the full family and hinted at the wedding in her caption by using the hashtag “#kajgautkitched”. The picture featured Kajal’s mom, Nisha Aggarwal and Nisha’s husband, Karan Valecha smiling happily. Gautam is an entrepreneur and the founder of Discern Living which is an e-commerce platform for home decor solutions and interior designing. He is also a tech and design enthusiast and likes to run marathons in his spare time.
Kajal and her future husband recently bought a house together and the actress took to her Instagram stories to ask her followers for advice on how to deck it up. Kajal shared that she and Gautam were “doing up their pad” on her account. The picture she shared featured Gautam in it and was one of the rare glimpses she gave of her romantic and private life. In the pictures that Kajal had shared on Dussehra, Gautam and her are both seen grinning from ear to ear and appear to be over the moon with excitement and happiness. The bride-to-be was decked in a royal blue hued sharara set while Gautam was dressed in all black. Kajal had also shared a stunning video of her sporting her gorgeous (and gigantic) single stone engagement ring as well as her neatly manicured nails. She had captioned the video with “Shaadi Vanity”.
According to sources, the marriage is a love cum arranged marriage and the pair had celebrated their engagement party all the way back in August. On the 12th of October, Gautam had shared an adorable picture of the pair on his social media account. In the image we see a polaroid of the two of them from their wedding. The background featured beautiful golden balloons and looked absolutely out of this world. Kajal was one of the first people to comment on the image and she proudly spoke about how she saw that even the image that he shared had a special element of design to it. She even used the hashtag “#mysuperaestheticfeyonce”. Many of Kajal’s fans flooded the comments section of his post and asked him to “take good care of Kajal”. The pair are quite open with the PDA now that their relationship is out of the bag and we are totally here for it!
While Kajal is quite popular in the south of India, she made her Bollywood debut in the film, Kyun! Ho Gaya Na. She has also acted alongside Bollywood superstars like Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn in the films, Special 26 and Singham respectively. Both these films did insanely well at the box office and Singham went on to become a cult film in Hindi cinema, catapulting Kajal’s name within hindi-speaking households.
