Not many people know that Kajal Aggarwal made her film debut in Bollywood! The actress was featured in the 2004 film, Kyun! Ho Gaya Naa…

The actress played a small supporting role as Aishwarya Rai’s sister and best friend in her debut role. After this movie, Kajal was cast as the lead character in the Telugu film, Lakshmi Kalyanam, making it her first foray into South Indian cinema. Following the release of this film, Kajal starred in the box office hit Chandamama. The talented actress received widespread acclaim after playing the role of bubbly Daddy’s girl, Mahalakshmi in Chandamama. Her career tipping point was when she starred in the critically acclaimed historical film, Maghadeera. The movie went on to rank among the highest-grossing Telugu films. Kajal made a comeback to Bollywood with the 2011 film, Singham which went on to be another smash hit for the young actress.

Besides her vast acting career of nearly 16 years, the actress has also sung a song called Yenaithu for the Kannada film, Chakravyuha. She has also been nominated for multiple Filmfare awards and has won many other cinema-related awards as well as fashion icon awards like “Femina Icon of The Year” and has been featured on “Hyderabad Times Most Desirable Women of 2016”.

On a professional front, Kajal has been pulled in to assume a lead role in Kamal Haasan’s next film, Indian 2. Media reports claim that Kajal will be playing the main antagonist to Kamal Haasan’s character in the film.

Despite having numerous villains in this Shankar directorial, Kajal will be playing the primary and most powerful villain. The big-budget action film will be featuring an ensemble cast.

This would include Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Vivek, and Siddharth. The musical score for this film will be made by famed music producer, Anirudh Ravichander. In the film, Kajal is set to don the hat of an 85-year-old woman (good luck to her makeup team) who allegedly has a hatred for Kamal Haasan’s character even when they were younger. The initial shooting of the film began at Rajahmundry Central Jail in Andhra Pradesh but Kamal had to stop shooting as he had undergone a minor operation and couldn’t exert himself much. The film is expected to get back on schedule and resume shooting very very soon.
