Trolled For Being Rude; Kareena Kapoor’s Behavior Towards A Fan Caught On Camera
Everybody wants fame but with great fame comes great responsibility (right Spiderman?). Well, Spiderman meant it for power but we think it applies to fame too. Being a celebrity comes with a lot of responsibility. One cannot behave as they wish because they are constantly watched, filmed, and scrutinized. It comes with the territory and no celeb is a stranger to the idea. While we understand that this can be stressful, certain behaviors and reactions towards fans are just not acceptable. After all, celebrities are who they are largely because of their fans. Do you agree?
Many a time, we’ve seen stars being rude to their fans and cutting them off. It has happened several times in the past and today Bollywood’s Bebo has made the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Recently, after what seems like a Holi celebration, Kareena Kapoor Khan was seen taking a stroll on the streets with her son Taimur who is a celeb too. A couple of fans approached her requesting a picture and Kareena outrightly dismissed them. A video of her misdemeanor has gone viral and netizens are not happy with it.
The Video
Kareena Kapoor’s behavior with her fans who wanted nothing but just a picture was not accepted well by people. In the video, Kareena seems to be walking home after a Holi party with her son Taimur. She avoids looking around and engaging with fans but a couple of women dressed in black request her for a picture. The Veere Di Wedding actress disses them inconsiderately, loses her cool for a split second and walks away into her house. The video shows one of the women saying “Please ma’am” but Kareena’s impolite reaction caused an uproar on the internet.
Netizens took to the internet to express their anger and frustration about the actress’s conduct. One user wrote, “She seems very rude to her fans. Very bad. She should take lessons from Ranveer Singh, her cousin Ranbir Kapoor. Everyone should boycott her movies if she behaves like this”. Another internet user said that she should at least smile at her fans and this is too much attitude from her end. We understand that it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity for many fans to come across their favorite celebrity. However, it’s also important for the fans to remember that these actors lead a hectic life and they click pictures with countless fans when they go out. Considering the fact that it was Holi, there’s nothing wrong in Bebo wanting some space with her son. If fans behave this needy, how do we expect celebrities to experience the joys of life like a normal person?
With all this being said, there were a few fans who came out and did not shy away from defending her. This is what we call loyalty! Kareena Kapoor was probably in a bad mood, sleepy, cranky, or just not feeling her best self like some of us are at times. We can understand that, but what is not okay is the way she snapped at her fan. As a celebrity, life does get stressful because there is a lack of personal space and every human needs that space but that is the downside of being a famous personality. Everyone who enters the film fraternity knows this and eventually embraces it. They learn how to cope with stress and overcome it. Kareena Kapoor has been in the industry for far too long to not realize that being a celebrity comes with certain expectations and responsibilities. While it might not be easy to fulfill, it is essential to avoid such incidents in the future.
