Family Plans
While Priyanka and Nick are both highly dedicated to their careers and have achieved immense amount of fame, they are also two very family oriented individuals. Nick was brought up in a large family and has two older brothers and one younger brother. Priyanka on the other hand, has a younger brother who she is very attached to. When quizzed about how many children she wants to have with Nick Jonas, Priyanka stated that she wishes to have “as many as she can have.”
Priyanka joked about how she wants plenty of children with her husband but definitely not a cricket team’s worth of children. Since Nick himself comes from a large family, we won’t be surprised if him and Priyanka decide to add more than one child to their brood. Currently, the pair are parents to three adorable pooches and recently made the third addition to their family. Nick’s older brother Joe Jonas and his wife Sophie Turner recently welcomed their little baby girl and received wishes from Priyanka, Nick and many others. Priyanka is close with her sister in laws, Sophie and Danielle and even had them at her bachelorette party before she tied the knot.
Why She Waited
If there’s one word people will use to describe Priyanka Chopra, it’s that she is ambitious. Priyanka has always been an ambitious woman and has always believed that her career comes first. She has admitted that when she was in her 20s, she didn’t even see herself getting married. She said that when she was younger she kept thinking “I’ve got things to do” and believed that if marriage was meant to happen, it would. She stated that she believed when you find the right person, everything will fall into place, and you won’t have to put in a lot of effort.
She stated that marriage always seemed like an alien concept to her, but now she is extremely comfortable with the concept and is happily married. She spoke about how while she was growing up, ambition in a woman was not seen in a positive light. Sadly, we live in a society that tells women that they must place their families above their other goals and ambitions. However, Priyanka did not let the haters get to her and stated that overtime, she realized that her ambition was not a weakness, but a strength.
Two Blissful Years
Nick and Priyanka have been married for two blissful years now. She had recently shared a picture of herself celebrating the Karva Chauth festival and had observed a fast for Nick. She’s also spoken about how Nick has accepted and taken to her culture like “a fish to water”. They often visit her family in Mumbai together and she has introduced him to many aspects of Indian culture. The pair currently reside in LA and are known for their globetrotting ways. Priyanka may be a desi girl but she sure does love traveling to different parts of the world for her work duties.
