Priyanka Chopra’s Eyebrow Journey Has Taught Us A Historic Beauty Lesson

Priyanka Chopra has been a part of the entertainment world since she donned the title of Miss World 2000. Apart from being an actress, model, singer, and film producer, she is also an ex UNICEF Goodwill ambassador for child welfare. Talk about multi-tasking! The actress tied the knot with her singer boyfriend, Nick Jonas in 2018 and the two have been giving their fans major #couplegoals. So, it’s safe to say that Piggy Chops is one busy gal and pretty grounded. However, if there’s one thing that’s not grounded in her life, it’s her eyebrows. This glamorous style icon has shared a rather complicated relationship with her eyebrows before she adopted a more natural-looking bushy look in 2020. So let’s take a look at Priyanka’s eyebrow history throughout her career:

Early Beginnings

Priyanka began her climb to superstardom at a ripe young age. Not many people know that it was her mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra who enrolled her in Femina Miss India in 2000. Priyanka was placed second in the competition and went on to bag Miss World 2000 in London.

Priyanka was the fifth woman in our country to win big at Miss World and she soon started receiving movie offers from Bollywood. During this time, Priyanka had extremely skinny eyebrows and clearly went overboard with her tweezers.

The actress was supposed to star in an Abbas-Mustan film but it fell through so she made her debut in a Tamil film titled Tamizhan instead. Reviewers called her acting ‘boring’ at the time.

The Andaaz Era

After making a solid Bollywood entry with the box-office hit film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, Priyanka signed the film Andaaz. Priyanka won the Filmfare Award For Best Female Debut for her incredible performance in the film. Back in those days, Priyanka’s eyebrows were heavily arched and often held the resemblance of a tadpole.

The Aitraaz Era

Aitraaz is one of Piggy Chop’s most memorable films. She played a power-hungry, femme fatale and her character was cast in an extremely negative light. In the film, she unsuccessfully tries to seduce her married ex-boyfriend and later alleges that he attempted to rape her.

Despite Priyanka playing a vamp-like character, her eyebrows remained tragically over-tweezed during this time as well.

The Fashion Era

Another one of Priyanka’s best films, Fashion featured the iconic over arched eyebrows of the 90s, so we’ll let this one slide since it was for a movie role. The actress had eyebrows that were sharp enough to cut through butter and we honestly love it.

However, in Fashion, we can see her eyebrows evolve as her character evolves.

The Dostana Era

During this time, Priyanka went for a sharp look with a tapering end. A style that was common during this time.

Despite being super sharp, it was nice to see her brows display some kind of volume rather than the tiny bit she usually left behind.

The Don 2 Era

Don 2 was when Priyanka Chopra finally started taking it a little easy on the tweezers and letting her brows grow a bit thicker.

The actress opted for a less arched, neat and semi-thick look during this film and we could barely recognize her.

The Bajirao Mastani Era

Priyanka took us back to the 90s with these heavily penciled in eyebrows and it almost looks like her eyebrows were pasted onto her face.

While many would probably title her eyebrows during this era as “Instagram-ready”, we beg to differ. We wish we could have said, “put the tweezers and eyebrow pencils down, Priyanka!”

The Gunday Era

Gunday featured a slightly more laid-back Priyanka. Her eyebrows were good but a little messy, arched but not thin and too tapering.

While the eyebrows are a little too highly arched for our taste, we’re glad she didn’t go overboard with the tweezers this time.

Quantico Era

Quantico is when Priyanka finally started adopting thicker eyebrows into her look and we are honestly living for it.

The stunning actress finally started keeping her tweezers away from her and decided to adopt the ways of thick brows like so many before her.

Priyanka’s Current Look

It took us 20 whole years to finally get here! Priyanka has now decided to accept the thick brows trend and has now been gracing us with her MUCH nicer looking brows.

While they’re still kept extremely trim and neat, the actress has finally embraced the power of thick eyebrows and we’re hoping she never finds her tweezers again.

All in all, Priyanka Chopra is an extremely talented individual, with or without eyebrows. While we may joke about her eyebrows and their transformation, this is not meant to bully her or any other people with thin eyebrows. We’re calling out those who overpluck (just kidding).
