We Have All The Details Of Rana Daggubati And Miheeka Bajaj’s Intimate Wedding Ceremony

Sorry Ladies, Rana Daggubati is officially a committed man now. The Baahubali actor wed his girlfriend, Miheeka Bajaj, an interior designer from Mumbai, on the 9th of August. Due to restrictions surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic, the pair were forced to change their original plans of a grand wedding. Instead, they had a super intimate traditional wedding ceremony with only family and loved ones in attendance. Many celebrities have shared their warm wishes for Rana and his gorgeous wife. Miheeka was spotted in exquisite designer wear though out the course of her big day and other marital rituals. Here are all the details:

Family Is Everything

The family had earlier stated that they wanted to restrict the list to just close relatives and they have to take as many precautions as possible. They had ensured to social distance, wear masks, and even provided hand sanitizers at easy access points for people to reach. Since Rana is Telugu and Miheeka is Marwari the wedding followed the traditions of both communities. The glittery ceremony was held in Rana’s hometown of Hyderabad and even included disinfectant tunnels for guests to pass through. A few people from the film community were in attendance, they included, Allu Arjun, Upasana, Ram Charan, Naga Chaitanya, and his wife actress Samantha Akkineni. The family had to take extra precautions and security had been called to cordon off the street leading to the wedding venue (1).

The couple had gotten engaged on the 20th of May in an intimate yet elegant ceremony with their family. Although Rana doesn’t share a lot of his personal life and relationships online, the actor shared tonnes of images from his engagement, Mehendi, and the wedding. Fans were waiting with bated breath to catch a glimpse of the beautiful young couple. In the pictures shared by the couple, they look absolutely stunning with designer semi-matching outfits and wide grins.

The Secret Behind Miheeka’s Exquisite Outfits

Miheeka’s exquisite wedding outfit was designed by famed designer, Anamika Khanna. Recently, Anamika revealed a few secrets as to what went behind this iconic design. The luxury fashion designer shared that it took around ten thousand hours to complete the entire lehenga. That’s right, ten thousand hours (you can pick your jaw off the floor now)! The cream and gold lehenga was adorned in a glittery fine zardosi design along with gold metalwork and fine chikankari. The lehenga was paired with a gorgeous coral veil of her crown.

Anamika also designed Miheeka’s mother, Bunty Bajaj’s outfit. She revealed that both the bride and her mother had a similar taste in elegant designs and fabrics. Miheeka also wore a woven gold dupatta on her shoulders and came across as extremely regal in her vibe. The gorgeous interior designer’s outfits were accessorized by statement antique pieces made of rough-cut diamonds and kundans. She wore a statement neckpiece, earrings, nose rings, and also an intricate headpiece. Rana and Miheeka had celebrated their Mehandi and Haldi ceremonies a few days earlier.

Miheeka’s gorgeous outfits stunned many and were of a wide variety of colors. She opted for a yellow and pink bordered peach saree to celebrate the occasion of her Roka, a pink and mint green lehenga for a family meet up before the wedding and many more gorgeous outfits that left people drooling (2).

Post Wedding Bliss

The newlyweds were captured performing a special Satyanarayan Puja a day after their wedding. Miheeka was spotted wearing a traditional Marwani style maang tika and some jewelry while Rana was spotted wearing a simple mundu and white shirt. The pair received warm wishes from across the film fraternity and further. Actor Dulquer Salman took to his Twitter account to wish the couple a happy marriage. Sharing an image of the pair on his Twitter account, he wrote, “You both look perfect together!! In a normal world would have been there to see you both in person! Wouldn’t have missed it for anything.”

Even famed actress, Radikaa took to Twitter to convey her wishes. She wrote, “Congratulations dear, wish you both a happy married life with loads of health, wealth, and happiness.” Many were ecstatic to hear the news of the pair’s engagement. Miheeka, who studies in London, moved to Mumbai and worked as an interior designer before she shifted to Hyderabad to move in with Rana. The couple now lives in Hyderabad. Miheeka is also a close friend of fashionista and actress, Sonam Kapoor. The actress had shared an image of the pair on her Instagram story after they had announced their engagement and congratulated them. She wished them good luck on their married life ahead (3).

Although many fans of Rana will be sad that the most eligible bachelor in town is now taken, it is delightful to see the actor settling down and getting married to someone he truly loves. Rana has opened up about how Miheeka and he had known each other from their childhood and gotten back in touch quite recently. He later stated that he knew he was ready to settle down and knew that he could see himself settling down with her. The actor then dropped down on one knee and proposed to Miheeka.
