We’ve seen many amazing Bollywood couples fall in love, get married, and grow old together — Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri, Sunil Dutt and Nargis, and the list goes on. The latest marriage row was ignited by Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s wedding in December 2017 which spread like a wildfire. But there wasn’t an end to it, 2018 saw Bollywood celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Sonam Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Himesh Reshammiya, etc. tie the knot! Boy, we could as well call 2018 as a year dedicated to Bollywood weddings alone. Out of all these weddings, if there’s one that has been the most anticipated, it has to be Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding. And why not? They were dating for around six years before they got married and they are super cute together! (twinkling eyes)
Ranveer and Deepika are real-life examples of how opposites attract. Ranveer (and his clothes), has clearly given us an idea about how colorful his personality is. He thanked Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his blockbuster acting roles and then thanked him for becoming the reason why he met Deepika. He said, “Aur kya mangu mein uparwale se? Apni Leela, apni Mastani, apni Rani se shaadi kar li. Sach mein hero bangaya mein toh yaar.” (What else do I ask God for, I’ve married my Leela, my Mastani, my Queen and I’ve become the real hero guys!) Awww! Isn’t that just adorbs? No wonder why Deepika’s eyes started watering like a fountain after the speech. We feel you DeePee!

Deepika turned all pink when Karan pointed out the couple’s flirty comments on each other’s post. Even though they have been denying the fact that they were in a relationship, for a very long time, we all know that wasn’t true. Thank you, Instagram!
Deepika as we know, had a rough break up phase after she parted ways from Ranbir Kapoor, her first Boyfriend in the film industry. The Deepika we saw back then was quite open about her relationship and even clicked family pictures with Ranbir’s parents! She then went through episodes of depression for a while, about which she later talked openly to the public. Well, can we blame her for not being too vocal and a little more reserved about her relationship with Ranveer? Nonetheless, she’s in a good place right now with Ranveer. Deepika’s life is a true testament to the old saying “everything happens for a reason.” She’s happy, successful, and stronger than ever before, and we know that Ranveer being a supportive husband has a big role to play behind the curtains.
