The media has a way of pitting every upcoming diva against one another. In the 2000s, Priyanka versus Kareena (the ladies quelled their “beef” and appeared on Karan Johar’s show together). Now it is Kareena’s step-daughter, Sara, who is being pitted against another popular actress of her age. Yes, Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan are often pitted against each other by the media and shown to be in competition. The two stunning actresses made their debut in the same year and hence were pegged as rivals by the media mills. This, however, is far from the real story. The two are actually close friends, and recently, Sara shared a video of herself and Janhvi working out to the song Peaches by Justin Bieber. Recently, Sara Ali Khan, who has shared videos of her solo workouts earlier, shared a cute video of herself and Janhvi Kapoor working out together. In the video, we can see the pair trying out different exercises like lunges, squats, and more. The pair was exercising to the billboard topping hit, Peaches by Justin Bieber. Alongside the post, Sara had written, “Go with the flow. Steady and slow. Kick high- squat low. That’s how you’ll get the golden glow.”

Janhvi and Sara have never had unpleasant things to say about each other, but that didn’t’ spare them from the media’s wrath. Many gossip columns and critics would pit the two actresses against one another. This is probably because they are both celebrity kids and made their acting debuts in the same year. Sara is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and his first wife, former actress Amrita Singh. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor is the daughter of the late Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. Both of the newbie actresses have now acted in plenty of films and have done well for themselves.

She is set to star in the films, Dostana 2 and Good Luck Jerry. Karan Johar is the director behind Dostana 2. The movie had recently come under the spotlight after Kartik Aaryan, who plays one of the leads, was fired by Dharma Productions. We expect that there will now be a slight delay in the film’s release as they try to find a replacement for the role. On the other hand, Good Luck Jerry is a remake of the Tamil crime-drama film, Kolamavu Kokila and will be releasing shortly. Besides this, Janhvi is a brand ambassador for many brands, from beauty and fashion to skincare.
Sara has starred in films like Kedarnath, for which she won a Filmfare award as well as an IIFA award, and she has also starred in box-office bombs like Love Aaj Kal with Kartik Aaryan. In her latest film, Coolie No. 1, she acts alongside Varun Dhawan. The film is a remake of the 1995 film of the same name that was directed by Varun Dhawan’s dad, David Dhawan. She also featured in a movie by the name of Atrangi Re. In the film, she acts alongside South Indian actor, Dhanush and action star Akshay Kumar. Sara is also set to take a dip into the land of mythology in an upcoming film with Vicky Kaushal called The Immortal Ashwatthama. This film will be directed by Aditya Dhar of Uri: The Surgical Strike fame. Sara has been recognized as one of the freshest faces in the media, and she is an ambassador for many sports brands, fitness drinks, and clothing brands.
Although Bollywood thrives on gossip mags and creates animosity between actors and actresses, it’s lovely to see these same actors and actresses proving nothing wrong between them.
