11 Things I Love About Sara Ali Khan – The New Bollywood Kid On The Block

Written by Anjala Farahath  •

I think it’s time we admit it. Ever since this Pataudi princess has stepped into Bollywood, we’ve been unstoppable in stalking her everywhere possible. With the looks that she inherited from her suave dad, Saif Ali Khan, and the eclectic charm that’s her legacy from her mother, Amrita Singh, Sara Ali Khan is here to make us swoon.

Sara is charming her way into the hearts of millions with her wit, humor, great looks, and commendable acting skills. If you were under the impression that you’re the only one who’s laid their eyes on this quintessential beauty, allow us to correct you, that just like you, half of the nation has found their latest celebrity crush in Sara Ali Khan. Damn, that Pataudi Charm!

Whether it was on Koffee With Karan, or the interviews with Rajeev Masand, Anupam Chopra, and BBC, Sara oozes confidence, magnetism, and humility. Just two-film-old, Sara has already established herself. You know how actors are asked to make love to the camera? When it comes to Sara, it’s the other way around – the camera keeps falling in love with her.

The paparazzi are crazy about her, her fans love her, and women are crushing on her like never before. All that, with just two films and a whole lot of sass. So, what makes her so loved? We’ve tried to list a few things about the Pataudi princess that set her apart from others (we can write a book on her, but let’s just do with these 11 things for now). Here’s why we love her-

1. She Is Vocal About Her Crushes

If we are asked about our latest crush, not many of us would be vocal about it, and definitely not on a public platform, right? But, Sara doesn’t shy away from anything. When asked about who she wants to date, she was quick to name Kartik Aryan, and she went a step further and said she would marry Ranbir Kapoor if he’s single. Ask her about anything, and she will have an answer for you.

2. She Doesn’t Pretend To Fit In

In Bollywood, everybody prefers to play safe. With diplomatic answers, pretentious maturity, and mutual admiration, actors and actresses calculate their words before uttering them. But, that’s not the case with our Pataudi beauty. Sara doesn’t mince her words, and neither does she squeeze herself into a square box. She is outright honest, and not afraid to make her opinions heard.

3. She Is Not Afraid Of Complications

Growing up in a broken home isn’t easy. After her parents’ separation, Sara and her brother Ibrahim stayed with their mother, Amrita. She acknowledges the problem that arose between her parents and she admits that they are better off with each other. In the Koffee with Karan episode, she said that she is happy to have two comfortable homes instead of one uncomfortable one, and that says a lot about how she deals with problems in life, doesn’t it? O Sara, thou art sagest of them all!

4. She’s Got The Desi Swag

On her day out, you are most likely to spot in her a pretty salwar kameez with the right amount of make-up and the perfect dose of sass. Unlike the other young star kinds, she believes in showing off her desi swag.

5. She Believes That Education Never Goes Wasted

Just as it has been for most of the Pataudi clan, for Sara too, education has been important. She has prioritized education. Most Bollywood stars stepped into the world of movies, early in their life, but Sara chose to complete her education before she could face the camera. Now, that’s something!

6. She’s Got The Best Of Two Bollywood Icons

Even before her first movie, Kedarnath released, the media and people opined that she is a spitting image of Amrita Singh. Just as she brings the fierce, bold, and unapologetic nature of her mother, she also exudes the wit and humor of her father, Saif Ali Khan.

7. She Showers All Her Seniors With Respect

Be it with directors, actors, interviewers or journalists, Sara never fails to address her elders with respect. She always addresses them as Sir or Ma’am. Not only is that cute, but it also speaks volumes about her humility!

8. She Loves The Trolls

In an interview, Sara revealed that she often scrolls through the comments on her social media and has a good laugh. She is not deterred by what her trolls have to say. In fact, sometimes she believes that her trolls are making a valid point! We all need to learn this positivity from her!

9. She Is Never Tongue-Tied

She laughs unabashedly, talks without inhibitions, and definitely without any sugarcoating. She has evidently distanced herself from the “how to be sweet and docile” playbook that every young actress adheres to in Bollywood.

10. She Is So Relatable

She stalks people on twitter under a pseudonym, she maintains a separate account on Instagram to like pictures of hot models and fun things, and she walks out of her house with no make-up. She believes that she is weird, she goes gaga over other celebrities, just like we do, and she doesn’t hide her goofy side. She is #Sorelatable!

11. She Is Unapologetically Herself

Sara Ali Khan, the daughter of the iconic stars Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh is always unapologetically herself. She doesn’t deny the fact that stardom comes easy to her because of the celebrity status of her parents. However, she doesn’t behave like a typical star kid. Even when she weighed a whopping 96 kg, she had the same level of confidence that she has now. She is a product of self-nurtured confidence, dedication, and motivation. Sara Ali Khan doesn’t believe in sweeping the things under the carpet, be it her personal life or her professional, she owns it.

We could go on and on, but time and space doesn’t permit us to. So here’s hoping that we are going to see more of Sara and that too for a long time. Has she won over you too? Do let us know your thoughts on her in the comments section.
