Mothers! What a blessing they are to everyone. How is it that every mother can sacrifice and compromise so much in their lives and put their children’s needs before their own? As women, we are all told that we cannot lead a successful life if we do not have the support of a man with us. But that is far from the truth. There are many women out there who have lived amazing lives that are filled with happiness and success without a man. Not only have they been successful for themselves but they have also raised kids who are doing great without a father figure in their lives or any man helping them. Women truly have superpowers, don’t they? Every mom is a supermom and here’s a list of some of them who single-handedly raised their kids without help from a man.

Popular television actress Shweta Tiwari got married when she was just 19 years old. At that young age, she married Raja Choudhary after knowing him for merely three months. Shortly after they tied the knot, they had a daughter Palak and all was well with them until it wasn’t. After nine years of living together, Shweta finally separated from her abusive husband and left with her daughter. Palak and she share a bond more like best friends rather than a mother and daughter. They are quite close and are often seen spending time together.

Former Bollywood actress and newspaper columnist, Pooja Bedi separated from her husband Farhan Furniturewalla in 2003. Since then she has taken on the role of a single mother and raised her two children, Alaya and Omar. Her daughter Alaya is the older one while her son Omar is the second child. Pooja said that while she is friendly with her kids, she is always strict where it matters. She believes in family values and has tried to inculcate those in her children.

We can imagine how tough it would be to take care of kids as a single parent but what is tougher is when it’s twins. Urvashi Dholakia got married at the age of 16 and had twin babies at 17. In just a year, she got a divorce from her husband and took up the responsibility of her twins all by herself. It would have not been an easy ride to take care of newborns but she proved that nothing is difficult if you are determined enough. She has raised her twin sons as a single parent and said that they are her support system. She also said that though it was not easy to bring up kids on her own, she does not like to focus on the past because she believes that a lot of people have suffered more. In an interview, she said, “I’ve only seen a small part of life; some people have suffered much more than me. At least I had a very supportive family.”

Kamya was married to Bunty Negi and they were blessed with a baby girl named Aara. In an interview, she said that she always wished to have a baby girl and is on cloud nine that her wish was fulfilled. After a few years of Aara being born, the couple separated and Kamya took up the responsibility of taking care of her daughter. She adores her daughter and they are often seen doing silly cutesy things together in her gram. They even wear the same outfits and post pictures on social media. Former actress and politician, Poonam Dhillon is also a single mother who raised a son and a daughter without the help of any man. She was the winner of Femina Miss India in 1977. Poonam separated from her husband Ashok Thakeria after spending nine years together. Her children and she are often seen vacationing together and they seem to have a close bond. In an interview, she once said that it is important to have a positive attitude towards life rather than getting bogged down by it.

The television actress known for her role in the popular television series Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon separated from her husband and took custody of her son Jaydon who was previously named Sharav. In an interview, she revealed that it is not easy and requires a lot of willpower to take care of a child but she does it because he is her life. The two are often seen making TikTok videos together.

She raised her daughter Masaba on her own and now, Masaba is a well-known fashion designer. Neena is often seen wearing her daughter’s clothes and modeling for them.
We all know how difficult it is to raise a child, be it catering to their emotional needs or financially supporting them.
