The actor has been helping farmers, migrant workers from the states of Bihar, Karnataka, and many more. Besides that, he has also allowed healthcare workers to take shelter in his Juhu hotel free of cost. A Chance Encounter
The pair met back when Sonu was pursuing his engineering degree in the city of Nagpur. Sonali was pursuing her MBA in the same city at the time. They started dating soon after and truly fell in love. According to Sonu, Sonali was his first and only love. Before Sonu had even taken a step into Bollywood he had tied the knot with the love of his life. The pair are known for keeping their marriage super low-key and not revealing much to the media. Their two sons, Ishant and Ayaan too are kept away from the limelight.
The actor has rarely spoken about his wife during interviews but when he has, he has nothing but kinds words to say about her. In an interview, he had once revealed that his wife is very mature and intelligent. He added that she was initially hesitant about his decision to become an actor but is super happy that he decided to persist and follow through with his biggest dreams. After his successful debut in a Tamil film called, Kallazhagar and a few more Hindi and Telugu films, the actor established himself as the go-too villainous character. Thamezharasan is an action film that stars Sonu Sood alongside Vijay Antony and Suresh Gopi. Prithviraj also stars Sonu Sood and has been directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The film is a historical period drama and features Akshay Kumar alongside newcomer Manushri Chillar. Prithviraj is set to be released around Diwali while Thamezharasan was released in April to rave reviews.
Besides his upcoming movie, Sonu has been up to a lot of work during the pandemic. The actor has been extremely active on social media and has been using his social media account to reach out to people in need. He has managed to help thousands of people who’ve been affected by the pandemic including migrant workers, laborers, and other people in the agricultural industry. Sonu has not just rescued these people who were stranded and penniless due to the lockdown, but he has also ensured that they have reached the safety of their hometowns without any hassles. The actor and a friend had arranged for migrant workers stuck in Mumbai to return to their hometowns in UP and Karnataka. He ensured that everyone took the necessary precautions on their journey home.
The actor came from very humble beginnings and inherited his charitable spirit from his dear parents. Sonu has always credited his childhood in the small town of Moga and watching his father hold Langar to his charitable endeavors. He has also spoken about how his mother used to teach underprivileged children for free as they could not afford to go to school like regular kids.
