Preparing for a zoom call interview can be stressful enough, but getting your makeup and appearance right can be even more stressful. You want to look fresh, presentable, and confident without going too overboard on the makeup. Interviews can be daunting when you’re attending them face to face and when they’re online, they come with a slew of other problems. You have to worry about internet stability, audio problems, the quality of your camera, and so much more. 1. Start With The Base
Applying a good foundation cannot be stressed enough. Since you don’t really have to worry too much about your makeup lasting for more than one hour, you can skip applying primer. Instead, just use a smooth matte foundation and make sure you avoid anything with glitter or shine. Buff and blend the formula into your skin with a special foundation blender.
2. Conceal Those Under Eyes
Nothing says the words “hire me” like a wide-awake and vibrant appearance. So even if you are someone who is an early bird and lives to have beauty sleep, a little under-eye concealer won’t do you any harm. First, pick a shade of concealer that is at least one or two shades lighter than your actual complexion and blend the full-coverage formula into your skin using a makeup sponge.

Mascara is another excellent pick-me-up and can elevate even the most simple of makeup looks. If you want to draw focus towards your well-rested and vibrant eyes, make sure that you apply at least a few coats of thick and volumizing mascara. This will also give your eyes a super dramatic flair to them.
8. Pick A More Neutral Lip Color
When it comes to choosing the right color of lipstick for your video call, you should probably try to play it safe. We would advise you not to go for a bright shade of siren red or bright fuchsia pink. Instead, we would recommend that you choose to wear a nude, light pink, or a slightly red shade of lipstick that is preferably matte, long-lasting, and resistant to smudges. 9. Tie Your Hair Up To Highlight Your Features
The best way to look presentable and keep your hair out of your face is to tie it up. This helps make your face pop and will let the interviewers see your expressions clearly. It’s always good to try a half-up, half-down hairstyle, or maybe even just a simple bun hairstyle. Remember, if you’re tying your hair in a ponytail, try to keep it slicked back and elegant. It would look a lot better than just leaving it in a loose or shaggy ponytail.
