Why Does It Work

Frankly speaking, anybody on this planet can put anything on the internet. But that ain’t the case with us.

Not once. Not ever.

Here we tell you why this ‘healing soup’ is actually so. Everything lies in the ingredients that you use – they are some of the healthiest foods in the world.

The good thing is these ingredients are available all around us. The bad thing is we don’t realize that.

  • Carrots

A cup of raw carrots contains about 52 calories. Isn’t that enough to understand how wonderful carrots can be for weight loss?

Also, carrots are rich in fiber – the nutrient that plays a crucial role in weight loss. A high-fiber diet can fill your tummy up and make you eat less.

  • Potatoes

‘Potato can make you fat’ – said no sane person ever. Now, I don’t mean to say that people who think otherwise are insane, but hey, you get the point, don’t you?

The belief that potato can make you fat is just that – a belief. And a myth.

This is because potato is a high-carbohydrate food, the very class of nutrients that provides you with half the amount of energy when compared to fats (and you need to consume more energy than your body needs in order to gain weight).

Also, according to a study conducted by the researchers at Rutgers University, the protease inhibitors in potatoes can help reduce food intake (1). Need I say more?

Psstt…however, have potatoes in moderation, as excessive intake of carbohydrates is also not healthy.

  • Red Onions

The fact that onions are low in calories is what makes them one of the most ideal weight-loss foods. In addition, onions are a great source of quercetin, an antioxidant that may help increase energy expenditure (2).

And there’s a bonus – onions also help control blood sugar levels, thereby reducing your chances of contracting type 2 Diabetes.

  • Garlic

This herb is the mother of healthfulness. Garlic is already known as a combatant of major diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Now it has also proved its ability in aiding weight loss.

According to a Korean study, garlic has anti-obesity effects and can help in the reduction of body weight and fat (3).

  • Spinach And Celery

If garlic is the mother of healthfulness, then spinach is the grandmother!

Another bonus is that spinach is amazingly low in calories – an ideal food for weight watchers. For instance, 100 grams of spinach contain just about 23 calories.

And from the words of Swedish researchers, spinach contains thylakoids, which have green leaf membranes that have shown to boost weight loss by 43 percent and curb food cravings by 95 percent (4).

Spinach is also an excellent source of iron, and can make you really, really strong.

I finally know the secret behind Popeye’s muscles.

*Raises collar*

Talking about celery, 100 grams of the vegetable contain just 16 calories. Now, isn’t that cool?

  • Pepper And Paprika

Both these spices can boost your metabolism and enhance your body’s fat burning ability.

  • Olive Oil

Olive oil has been found to induce satiety, as per a study conducted by the University of Vienna.

The oil is also rich in monounsaturated fats, which are known to lower the levels of bad cholesterol (5).
