Body language is one of the most important forms of communication there is. As much as we’d hate to admit it, body language gives away a lot more information about you than you may think. From your posture to your facial expressions to the way you pray, body language reveals a lot. According to research, social interactions between individuals are based on the communication of both non-verbal as well as verbal communication. In contrast to verbal statements made by people, their intentions and beliefs can be inferred more clearly through their body language (1). 1. Left Thumb On Top
This usually means you are an extremely practical person. You can’t stand being around impulsive people and you will never make important decisions based on a whim. Reading through people is easy for you and you can tell if someone is lying to you. Before you make any decisions, you make sure you think twice, no, thrice! Overthinking is another problem you constantly suffer from and sometimes you end up wasting too much time and mind space on it. You’re often valued by older members of your family for your wise and mature ways. Even your own parents probably come towards you when they seek advice. You’ve always been at the forefront of all major family decisions since you were a child and this has led you to develop your mature nature.
At times, you may come across as more serious than you intend to but those close to you swear you’re not always like that. Yes, you’re serious. But only in matters that require you to be. This doesn’t mean you’re a serious person; on the contrary, it means you’re quite witty and quick at multitasking. Your quick sense of humor is a delight at any party or social gathering. Your good-hearted nature makes it easy for people to feel comfortable around you and they trust you to help them in times of need. In fact, you’re probably the first person they seek out for your rational-minded thinking and quick fix ways.

You have an extremely high emotional quotient and are very much in touch with your own emotions. This sense of self-awareness makes you extremely confident and keeps your self-esteem boosted. This uncanny ability also makes it easy for you to tell other people’s emotions too. You find it easy to empathize with others around you. This unique skill helps people open up to you and you’re everybody’s favorite secret keeper. You’re also an out of the box thinker and are quick to come to solutions to impactful problems. You provide a different perspective to an issue than your friends are used to, and for that they truly value you.
You are quite the social butterfly and you are always the prime source of attention in your group. You provide warmth to others and they enjoy spending time with you for this very reason. When it comes to relationships, it’s easy for you to resolve conflicts because you’re so in tune with your partner’s emotions. This often makes you come across as condescending but you have no cruel intentions.
3. Both Thumbs Aligned
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. Thanos may have been a mass-murdering villain but you do respect some of his ideologies and beliefs. You follow this motto through and through and ensure you adhere to it in every aspect of your life. Your perfectionist ways make it hard for you to be everybody’s cup of tea but their opinions don’t matter to you. After all, the opinions of the sheep should not matter to a lion. You expect dedication and concentration from those junior to you and often find yourself in roles of leadership. You always lead by example but that doesn’t mean you’re inconsiderate of others.
Your straight laced-attitude should not be confused for contempt or lack of empathy. Before you make any decisions you always consult those concerned and arrive at your conclusion only after their approval. Your honesty and sincerity should not be mistaken for bluntness. You expect honesty in all your relationships and are not afraid to speak your mind and be completely honest. You expect your partner to express themselves and be entirely transparent with you. It is this virtue that sometimes leads you to be blindsided in relationships but it doesn’t matter to you. Everything is a learning experiment.
As it shows, body language is an important form of communication and can reveal a lot about your personality.
