We get it. You worked quite hard in the gym to get that enviable physique and you want to show off the spectacular results. But trust us, this is not the way to do that. Unless you are having your next date in the gym, we would advise you to steer away from this particular piece of clothing which does nothing for you except make you look like the human version of a cloud.
2. Deep-V Neck T-Shirts
If there’s one gender which can beautifully carry off of décolletage-revealing clothes, it’s the fairer one. Trust us when we tell you, that there is no bigger turn-off for a woman than seeing a few stray strands of chest hair peeking out from a deep-V neck t-shirt. It just does nothing for us.
If you are one whose wardrobe is filled with this sartorial catastrophe, we suggest you begin your spring cleaning a little early this year.
3. T-Shirts With Supposedly Witty Quotes
If you think they make for an interesting conversation starter, think again. This is one of the most common fashion slips that we see men committing around us, so it had to feature on this list.
We aren’t saying you should banish those quirky t-shirts from your wardrobe, but we would advise you to not wear them to your next date at least. It just makes it look like you put no thought into your appearance. And you wouldn’t want your lady love to think you don’t care enough about her to dress up, would you?

4. Skinny Jeans
Not only has this jean-trend become a health hazard for mankind, but it’s also an eyesore, to say the least (1). It makes a well-built man appear like a human popsicle and not only that there’s quite a lot to fit in there, and that does become apparent no matter what the fashion bloggers tell you.
Our advice, ditch those skinny jeans in favor of a well-crafted pair of straight-cut ones.
5. Sweatpants As A Replacement For Jeans
While ideally, comfort should prevail over fashion, this is one instance which is an exception to this idealistic rule. If you are going out in the world, dress like it. Leave the sweatpants for a night in on the couch. A nicely tailored trouser or a pair of well-fitting jeans are better alternatives.
6. Cargo Pants (With A Zillion Zips On Them)
We agree that the toughest thing for a guy dating a girl is the constant pressure to measure up to the other guy in her life, her dad. But that doesn’t mean you have to ape her dad’s style! Ditch those cargo pants, (especially the ones that can be converted into shorts) and no, the extra pockets are not really helping your case.

It can either be socks or sandals, but never both. This combination never works, no matter the occasion, the age of the wearer. It is one of the unsightliest accessory combinations to be ever conceived. And yes, all women feel as strongly about this.
8. Bling In The Form Of Jewelry
Unless you are a rapper, who is all about that thug life, you wouldn’t want to be caught dead carrying this much bling. Not only is this a safety hazard but also a crime against fashion.
The kind of bling that would look good on you: a classy pair of cufflinks, a nice watch or in case you are married, a simple band.
9. Bracelets: Be It In Leather, Rubber Or pretty Much Anything Else
While there’s no rule that says men can’t accessorize but a leather bracelet on your wrist is certainly doing you no good. If you must, try wearing something subtle, such as a simple stainless-steel bracelet. But chunky leather ones or the ones with shells are a big no-no.
