Neena Gupta is an actress who has enthralled audiences for more than 38 years. She has proven her immense acting chops through powerful roles in films like Woh Chokri, Badhaai Ho, Gandhi and many more. Besides being an incredible actress, Neena is also a proud mother. Her daughter, Masaba, has made a name for herself in the world of fashion and recently decided to take up acting as well. Her entire wardrobe is filled with Masaba’s vibrant, striking, and extremely unique designs and the pair are often spotted twinning on many occasions. You can catch Neena sporting one of Masaba’s creations at award shows and during interviews and we are totally here for it. Nothing like having a parent who loves showing their support for your work! Neena and Masaba rocked similar hair styles and wore complimentary colors to celebrate the occasion of Diwali. We have to say that these colors totally make our eyes pop!

Both Neena and Masaba love sharing throwback pictures from Masaba’s childhood in the 90s and Masaba looks absolutely adorable. On the occasion of Masaba’s 31st Birthday, Neena decided to give fans what they wanted and shared this absolutely adorable picture of the two of them from when Masaba was a toddler. Their angelic smiles are totally contagious in the delightful #throwback picture!
3. When They Featured On The Same Magazine 27 Years Apart
In December 2020, Neena shared a picture of herself on the cover of a famed woman’s magazine that she posed for in the year 1993. Masaba was only 4 years old at the time. In 2020, Masaba was featured on the cover of the same magazine! In the caption, Neena stated that she believed Masaba had a better cover.
4. Attending The Filmfares Together
In 2019, Neena Gupta won her first Filmfare Critics award in the category of Best Actress for her role in the film, Badhaai Ho. Masaba shared an image from the award ceremony and congratulated her mother. And ofcourse, Neena chose to rock a Masaba creation for the award function!
5. When They Played Mother-Daughter In Masaba Masaba
Masaba Gupta finally donned the hat of an actress when she played a fictionalized version of herself in the hilarious series, Masaba Masaba. Neena too plays a fictionalized version of herself and appears in the series. We cannot help but laugh (and cry) when the pair are on-screen together. Of course, we bet the acting came naturally as they are mother-daughter in real life.
6. Diwali With The Family
Neena has been married to Masaba’s stepfather, Vivek Mehra since 2008 and she often shares pictures of herself, Masaba and Vivek on her Instagram. During an interview with a famous newspaper, Neena had stated that she had been dating Vivek since Masaba was a child and that they only decided to tie the knot when Masaba was much older.

9. Celebrating House Of Masaba’s 10th Anniversary
On February 3rd 2019, Masaba’s design studio, House Of Masaba completed 10 years. Of course, Neena had to show up to partake in the celebrations. She shared a picture of the two of them at the studio and spoke about how it felt good to be her daughter’s guest at the event.
It’s so wonderful to see the adorable relationship between Neena and Masaba and we love watching them act on screen by each other’s side. Having a supportive parent like Neena is so important for the growth of a child and Masaba truly is lucky to have her.
