But is this applicable in real life too? Do our habits give away so much about us, that people can actually tell what exactly our personality is like, just by observing us?

Seems that this is not impossible. Even our slightest habits speak volumes about what kind of people we are – one just needs to pay a little attention. Read on to find out what our habits say about our personality.

Believe it or not, the way you walk reveals a lot about the kind of person that you are. Surprised? Don’t be. This is what is called “body language”, and psychologists have been using this method for a very long time to understand what a person is thinking or what that person is like. It’s got all to do with whether or not you swing your arms. Yes, it is that simple!

If you swing your arms while walking, you’re most likely an open and happy person who doesn’t take life too seriously. You’re joyful and have a pleasant personality. You are brave and confident as well, and are not bothered by people’s judgement.

On the other hand, if you do not swing your arms while walking, it means that you are a little reserved and do not trust people easily. You are not too emotional and prefer keeping to yourself.

Are you someone who likes to snack a lot, even during the night? Do you wake up in the middle of the night to eat often? Very often, we mistake this to be due to external elements like loud noises or because of medical conditions like insomnia. But according to experts, it could also mean that you are a little indifferent to your health. They are also more tired, more often. But it’s not all bad news. Such people are also known to be self-confident with the belief that they will achieve big things in life!

Are you someone who doesn’t bother to do the dishes at night but likes to get a good night’s sleep before even thinking about those dishes in the sink? That’s really good news! It means that you do not like to overthink things and do not let troubles get you down. In fact, when small troubles tend to come your way, you just let things be because you truly believe that these problems do not need your attention as they will solve themselves anyway!

Having this habit also means that you are a deeply indulgent person and always look out to find ways in which you can self-indulge. Which is not a bad thing at all! Or it could simply mean that you are lazy and are expecting someone else to do the dishes – like your maid or your roommate, maybe?

If you like to carry a backpack, for example, it means that you are someone who is more open to adventures and a naturally spontaneous person! You love to take on challenges head-on, and believe that life is one big adventure. You are empathetic and considerate which makes you quite popular amongst your peers.

If you like to hold your bag in your hand, it usually means you are someone who likes to have everything under control. You do not like surprises and like to be informed of everything. You hold strong opinions and can be brutally honest too.

If you hold your bag on your shoulder, it could mean that you are a book lover who loves to fish out your book from your bag at the drop of a hat! Oh, you little bookworm.

If you carry your bag over your shoulder (that is across from your shoulder over your torso), it means that you are protective about your belongings and generally like to guard them closely. It could also mean that you are a bit of a show-off who likes to show people around that you have something of value with you, but it doesn’t make you any less of a generous person.

And lastly, if you carry your bag on your stomach, which is quite rare, it means that you are eccentric in your own way. But don’t be worried: that’s not really a bad thing because carrying your bag this way also indicates that you have a vivid imagination and a quick mind. In other words, it means that you are brilliant!
