Long gone are the days when women adored thin, arch-shaped eyebrows. Today, the thick, wide, and well-defined Instagram eyebrows are in. They’ve been quite a sensation for the past few years that every girl wants healthy and thick eyebrows. Sadly, not everyone is blessed with fast-growing, thick eyebrows. And with the latest natural and thick eyebrow trend that is all set to take over Instagram eyebrows, you can’t even use your eyebrow powder/pencil much. The game is going to get a lot tougher and it’s time you gave your brows a natural boost to grow thicker and healthier. This is where you can thank Vaseline, the good old petroleum jelly for being a saviour.

Vaseline can be applied to your eyebrows to help them grow better. You can either use it directly from the jar or you can mix it with other ingredients and apply it on your eyebrows. In this article, we’re going to show you how to use Vaseline jelly to get thicker eyebrows.

Why Vaseline?

We all know the saturating power of petroleum jelly because of which it softens even the driest and flakiest parts of our skin. Lips, knees, or heels, there’s nothing too dry to combat the moisture level shot in by this miraculous ingredient. The same way, Vaseline helps to keep the skin beneath your eyebrows healthy and moisturized. This is one of the main reasons why your eyebrows will grow better and faster when you apply Vaseline on them. The second reason is that, just like the hair on our head, our eyebrows also tend to get affected by environmental factors like pollution and climate. Applying Vaseline will protect them from directly coming in contact with the pollution and the dryness. Now let’s dive into the different ways in which you can make use of petroleum jelly to get better-looking eyebrows.

How To Use Vaseline On The Eyebrows?

Step-1:

Let’s begin by getting the tool for the application — your mascara wand. You can either use an old mascara wand from an empty tube or you can buy mascara wands that are separately sold at the beauty stores. If you’re taking an old mascara wand, make sure you wash it well with water before using it. If it was dipped in water-proof mascara, use some makeup-remover or a cotton ball with some coconut oil to wipe every bit of the product off the wand.

Step-2:

Now clean your face well with a face wash and apply moisturizer as usual. But remember not to let the moisturizer reach anywhere near your eyebrows. If necessary or if you’ve put makeup on your brows, wipe it off with some makeup remover. If there is product build-up on your eyebrows or at the roots, the petroleum jelly won’t be able to penetrate and work the magic.

Step-3

For this step, make sure your hands are clean. Scoop out a bit of the jelly and keep it in the middle of your palm. Now, mix it slowly with a finger so that the warmth will melt it and make it easier to apply. Dip the mascara wand in the soft jelly on your palm and slowly brush it on your eyebrows from the inside to the outside in an upward direction. Remember to brush it right from the roots because you want the jelly to touch the skin underneath the hair strands.

Step-4

Leave the Vaseline overnight so that it can show better and faster results. In the morning, wash the area with lukewarm water. Do not use soap or cleanser on top of the brows because it will rip off the moisture that will protect your brows against the pollution outside. Repeat this procedure regularly and see the results in four to five weeks.

Other Eyebrow Packs With Vaseline

You can mix your Vaseline eyebrow pack with other beneficial ingredients like olive oil, castor oil, coconut oil, and avocado oil. These oils are known for their ability to boost hair growth and they will definitely help in getting faster results. But remember to use only three to four drops of oil with the petroleum jelly so that the consistency is still thick. You don’t want oil dripping down to your eyes in the night, right?

One of the best things about applying Vaseline on the eyebrows is that it is a completely safe ingredient to be used around the eye area. Some people use petroleum jelly even to get thicker eyelashes. Even if it spreads a little in the sensitive area around your eyes, it’s only going to moisturize the skin and not cause any harm. Vaseline can also be used as a great brow gel! It’s transparent and it lifts your brows for a sharper look.

Remember to follow the procedure regularly if you want to see visible results. No remedies work overnight and you will have to be patient for a while before making the judgment. Have you ever tried Vaseline on your eyebrows? Did it work for you? Share your experience with us in the comments below.
