Time has been running incredibly slow during the Coronavirus lockdown. Or at least, that’s what most of us are feeling. But it’s not all bad. Rana Daggubati fans have been extremely thrilled to hear of their favorite actor’s decision to wed his longtime girlfriend, Miheeka Bajaj. The Bahubali actor took to his Instagram this Tuesday to announce his upcoming engagement to his fans. Rana shared an image of himself and Miheeka with the caption, “And she said Yes :)”. One of the most sought after bachelors in the film industry is now finally getting hitched! This news may have broken many hearts with a thud, but we’re extremely happy for one of the most talented (and good looking) actors of the South Indian film industry. An Adorable Love Story
Unlike many in the industry, the actor chose to marry someone from a non-film background. Miheeka Bajaj is a Mumbai-based interior decorator. The lovely lass studied in London before shifting to the city of dreams. She also runs an event management agency and a decor company called Dew Drop Design Studio. Miheeka’s mother is renowned Hyderabadi jewelry designer, Bunty Bajaj. Thus, Miheeka spends most of her time shuttling between Hyderabad and Mumbai.
According to reports, Miheeka is said to be extremely passionate about reading and writing. Rana’s lovely girlfriend is also said to be a good chef. Guess what they say is true; the secret to a man’s stomach is through his heart. Although the pair keep their relationship under the radar for the most part, fans were quick to find out more about the couple after the announcement. They had met around ten years ago and were friends before they started dating two years ago. Rumors about the pair’s relationship began brewing after Miheeka was spotted attending multiple events where Rana was either the chief guest or hosting the event himself. Many fans are elated to hear the news but many young hearts are also broken to hear of their Prince Charming’s engagement to someone who’s not them (sorry fangirls/boys).
A Close Friend Of Sonam Kapoor’s
Sonam Kapoor also decided to share an image of the pair and welcome Rana into their extended family. The Aisha actress had shared an image of the adorable pair onto her story and congratulated the pair on their upcoming nuptials. The actress wrote, “Congratulations my darling baby, Miheeka. I love you, doll. You deserve the best. Rana Daggubati better make you happy. Love you both! Welcome to the fam, Rana!”. Fans have seen glimpses of Miheeka and Sonam’s friendship throughout the years as Miheeka has often shared images of the actress and herself together. She had earlier taken to Instagram to wish Sonam on her birthday, writing, “Happy birthday, Sona! Here’s to many more nights of binging on junk, making you do my art projects and fussing to sit on your lap! Love you to the moon and back.”
Miheeka had shared images of herself from Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding in 2018. She had wished the pair well on their marital journey and said they were totally meant to be. Miheeka is also close with other members of the Kapoor khandaan and had shared pictures of herself posing with Sonam’s cousin and Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter, Shanaya Kapoor (talk about soul sisters).
Close Call
Earlier in 2019 Rana Daggubati was allegedly facing a few health issues that caused some concern amongst fans. The actor shared an image on his Instagram where he looked quite unwell and had seemingly lost a massive amount of weight. Later news sources revealed that he was in poor health as he had apparently undergone a kidney transplant. However, the actor took to social media to quash those rumors, saying that he was fine and in good health. He said he was in America to shoot an upcoming movie and not for anything related to health issues. Whatever be the case, we certainly hope he’s doing better now. Rana’s fans grew increasingly concerned over his health and many even left comments on his pictures asking him what had happened to him.
It’s wonderful to know that one of our favorite actors is planning on tying the knot with his beloved. To know that there is still hope for all of us even during these low tides feels amazing. We hope the couple does end up tying the knot in December like their original plan.
