Let us guess, you’re probably a South Bombay kid. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but your experiences of Mumbai are quite different compared to most around you. You may often find yourself complaining about Mumbai for the various issues that it is plagued with, but when it comes to defending your city, you will go all out. After all, Mumbai is YOUR city, and you can’t stand people talking smack about a place you consider your home. You probably have a large friend circle of people just like you and have a preference for the finer things in life. Whatever your experiences may be, you still share the common “Mumbai is united” sentiment.

Laid-Back

You’re an easy-going Mumbaikar who just likes living in the city and doesn’t care much about what other people think. You’ve probably had a middle-class upbringing and have had your fair share of dalliances with the local trains. Street food is your go-to snack and you don’t care if it leads to an upset stomach later. When people question your loyalty to the city, you simply shrug and say “Mereko, kya pharaf padta hai?”.

Open-Minded

You’re probably a very diplomatic person. You’re okay with admitting that the city has its flaws but you still do admire everything about the city and its culture. You’re probably still new to the city and open to learning new things from native Mumbaikars. You’re also a super adventurous person and love traveling not just in Mumbai but the outskirts of the city as well. You’re also the kind of person who can’t stay at home on a Saturday night and have to go out and see the sights. Considering most Mumbaikars are busy throughout the week, the weekends are your only solace and you use it to the maximum.

Traditional

You’re either a Maharashtrian or someone whose family has lived in Mumbai for many generations, or maybe even both! You can’t imagine living in a city that is anything less than Mumbai and you’re one of the many people who think that if you make it in Mumbai, you can make it anywhere. You probably live in the western suburbs and you genuinely believe that Mumbai is the greatest city in the country. However, despite your pride for the city, you’re still open to meeting people from other cities and interacting with them. As long as they don’t insult Mumbai. Anything anti-Mumbai will probably make your blood boil.

At the end of the day, Mumbai is a city of many experiences and those who’ve lived in the city will tell you numerous tales of the coastal hotspot. Do you agree with your results? Tell us what makes Mumbai’s heartbeat so strong?
