Here Is Why Men Should Never Lie To Women!

I know I’m going to get a lot of raised eyebrows and disapproving looks when I say this, but lying is a part of every relationship. Think about it: you started lying to your parents since you first learned to talk. You’ve occasionally let an innocent lie slip by when talking to your friend. And most importantly, you’ve found yourself lying to your man more often than not to prevent him from getting hurt.

And so has your man. He has lied to you too. But little does he know that every time he lies to you, he’s been caught red-handed. Or at least in your mind, and if you happen to feel kind enough you decide to spare him your wrath.

In Fact, This Is The Reason Why Men Should Never Lie To Their Women!

Men think that their clever lies and innocent puppy dog-esque expressions can get them out of a sticky situation, i.e. one in which they clearly would avoid telling the truth. But the fact of the matter is, a woman can smell a lie from a mile away. Which means that men really should think about more than looks when choosing a partner for themselves.

Generally speaking, men have the tendency to focus on a woman’s looks when searching for a potential mate (1). This means that they usually end up ignoring other traits of women, of which the most important is their personality. And it is this personality of theirs that helps them distinguish words of truth from lies.

So what men don’t realize is that when they lie to a woman, they have a fair chance of getting caught as women have a stronger intuition and are also quite sharp-minded. That’s not all. Women are also better at detecting emotions than men are, which gives them an edge over men in terms of finding out when they’re being lied to (2). Plus, like everybody else, women hate being lied to as well. They’d rather take the bitter pill of truth than those sweet sugarcoated words that have no meaning.

Another reason why men should think twice before lying to a woman is because women are more analytical and pay attention to even the minutest of details, which makes it easier for them to catch a lie (3), (4). Once a lie has been uttered, a woman’s mind will go into overdrive and start analyzing every single spoken word to detect any discrepancies in them. As soon as she finds the inconsistency, men can expect the game to be over.

Here’s a small story that attests to the fact that men shouldn’t even attempt at being dishonest with women:

“On one fine day, a husband called his wife up to inform her that he was going on a hiking trip with his boss over the weekend. He told her that it was going to be a great opportunity for him and that this trip could help him get that promotion that he had been eyeing for a while.

His wife listened quietly as he went on, asking her to pack his hiking gear along with some warm clothes. He explained that he wouldn’t get the time to do the same as he’d be leaving straight after work and would just stop by for a couple of minutes to pick up his bag. Interestingly enough, before hanging up the phone, he asked her to pack his pair of new silk pajamas as well.

Even though the wife found her husband’s demand to be odd, she did as she was bidden and packed his bag.

When the weekend got over, the husband returned from his trip and told his wife that his trip with his boss had been extremely fruitful.

But his wife wanted to know the details of it all so she started asking him questions about his trip. She asked him about the colleagues that had accompanied him, his interactions with his boss, the peak they decided to climb and so on. The husband answered all her questions, but in turn, he had a question for her too. He asked her why she hadn’t packed his blue pajamas. She said that she had packed it up in his gear bag.”

Moral of the story? The wife knew that her husband was lying which is why she packed his pajamas in a place where he’d obviously look if he had gone hiking. The wife simply used this smart and simple tactic to know for sure if he was indeed lying. And once the punch line was released there was nothing left to be said.

So this is a message to all men: Do not lie to your women. They will find out. And what follows won’t be pretty.
