He may not have won the games, but V truly was the real MVP of Run BTS episode 128. To celebrate the New Year, BTS decided to release a very special episode on their South Korean variety show, Run BTS. The handsome hunks participated in three mini-games, Liar game, red light, green light, and harmonica game and stole the show with their hilarious antics and laughter. Yes, the BTS army was treated to an interesting episode and got to see a side of V that we don’t get to witness often. So for those of you who missed episode 128 of Run BTS, here is a recap of what happened and why we love V so much:
V And His Jokes
We love V or Kim, for the person that he is. The “ador-kable” member of BTS was the last member to be added to their lineup and comes from humble beginnings. He has said that if he hadn’t joined BTS he would join his family in the agricultural sector. His sincere attitude and overall innocence is what makes the super unique V stand out. During this episode of Run BTS, he showed his humorous side and got all the other members and many of us who were watching at home to keep our eyes peeled to our screens.
When the boys played the Harmonica game, V decided to play the song, “Zero O’ Clock” on the harmonica and had all the other members of the gang doubling over with laughter. Although V knew the answer, he didn’t want his teammates to guess the answer as easily. Unfortunately for V, J-Hope caught onto the tune and stated the answer, causing V to get mad at losing his shot to win. Things between the boys got further heated in the next game they played. During the game of red light, green light, V sent all the fangirls into a spiral when he planted a sweet kiss on Jin’s cheek. This elicited a surprised response and a total meme moment between the two guys and lots of giggles and laughter from the rest of their friends.
As the bespectacled V tried his best to rush back and finish off the game, Jin didn’t let his friend get an easy win and blocked his exit path by using his hand to grab V’s head. In the final mini-game (which involved a glass box and an egg), RM and V decided to take each other on and play a game that involved the two of them smashing an egg. Finally, even the rest of the boys admitted that V definitely was the true MVP of the game with J-Hope being the first to nominate him for the position.
Why We Love V
V, who is also called TaeTae affectionately because his last name is Taehyung is best described as being unique. He comes from a different background compared to most of the other guys and his father is a farmer. V remains extremely close to his tight-knit kin and looks up to his father a lot. In fact, he used to even consistently wear a watch that his father had gifted him when he was younger. V loves to play around with his taste in fashion and has an immense appreciation for the arts. His favorite hobbies are photography and acting, and he has even acted in a South Korean historical drama film by the name of Hwarang: The Beginning.
V is mainly known for having an outgoing and exuberant personality and being super silly and fun in general. He loves meeting fans and new people and those close to him say that he can make friends with anybody he meets. V has a deep love for animals and is extremely attached to his pet Pomeranian named Yeontan (who is the unofficial eight member of BTS). Despite his warm and super friendly nature, V is also known for being super private and doesn’t like to discuss too much of his private life with the public. Within BTS, V is also known for his intense and super deep, soulful vocals.
He is also an incredible dancer and can play many instruments. V is a talented pianist and has also played the saxophone for many years. Always keeping an eye out for the creative, V is known for his liking for the arts and painting in his free time. Not many BTS fans know this, but V was the first one to come up with the term, “I purple you”. This affectionate phrase is used by the rest of the BTS army to express their love and affection for members of the boy band and to let people know that they love and trust them.
