Often in our lives, we open our gates and quite unsuspectingly welcome in pure evil. Not that that is our fault. Most of the evil people to walk into our lives are pretty smart and never display the obvious telltale signs. And this doesn’t mean there’s no good in them. There surely is. It’s just that they like to use their good for sinister reasons.

1. They Deny The Truth
No matter how hard you try, you will not be able to get an evil person to admit to the truth – even if you stack up piles of proof against them. Instead, they’ll hold onto an entirely different truth and would offer their own versions with the help of twisted morals and arguments that only make sense to them.
2. They Twist Facts To Their Favor
Their expertise lies in gathering information and twisting it around to suit themselves. They manipulate facts to accomplish their goals and make you believe that their interpretation is the only right one. You can expect them to come up with outrageous theories, backed up by ridiculous facts in order to get their point across.
3. They Hide Information
One of the hallmarks of the Lucifer in your life is that they will hold back that information about themselves that compromises their true identity. And if you accuse them of lying, they’ll never admit to it. Instead, they’ll argue that they never said any such thing, to begin with! For them, ignorance, more twisting, and making you feel guilty for snooping, are the ultimate ways to go.
4. They Mislead You
They never want you to feel good about yourself. So, if they come across any information that is useful to them, they will manipulate that truth and mislead you into believing that it’ll work to your disadvantage. As a result, you end up feeling afraid, incompetent or vulnerable. In fact, they’ll do it so well that you will end up firmly believing in them and forming new enemies.
5. They Always Lie
Lying comes naturally to them and is a part of presenting that image of themselves that they want the world to see. They are experts in spinning a juicy and compelling yarn. And if you ever suspect that their version is not true, they will cover it up with more lies. The kind of lies that’ll make you sympathize with them.
6. They’re Never Sorry
Haven’t you come across a person who’s always unapologetic about everything? That’s the evil one! These people have no feelings or guilty conscience whatsoever and never feel bad for ruining your life. In their world, your life is just a game they like to play – exposing your weaknesses and leaving you helpless are a win.
7. They Don’t Take Responsibility
They won’t stop from causing destruction and they won’t take any responsibility for it either! As soon as you even think of blaming them for the mess in your life, they will come up with a strategy to redirect the blame onto somebody else. So, inevitably, an innocent ends up apologizing to you for something they never did.
8. They Will Manipulate You
This comes as no surprise but these guys excel in manipulation like no other. They plan for every single eventuality so that they can get what they want. They know how to put you down so that they can get all the credit for your hard work.
9. They Stick By You In Good Times Only
You can refer to them as classic ‘fair-weather friends’ because that’s exactly what they are! They are all over you as long as the good times last, and that too for their own selfish reasons. However, when things go wrong for you, they run in the opposite direction, leaving you cold and alone.
10. They Take Up All Your Time
Who says your time can be yours? As long as they’re around, they will steal your time so that you have nothing left to yourself. Take for example that dinner date. An evil person will try to distract you from it because they don’t want you to enjoy and have a better life than them.
11. They Lead Dual Lives
You’d think that they’re living that typical white-collar life but if you care to dig deep, you’ll find that it’s all a grand lie. They paint a different picture for all the different people in their lives so that nobody can find out the truth about them.
12. They’re Control Freaks
Controlling every situation around them is how they function. And that’s natural because they’re always lying and don’t want the beans to be spilled! Also, if you try to be a real friend to them, they’ll get possessive about you so that nobody else finds out their truth.
