Nail art is a growing trend these days. You can use a variety of decorative materials on to your nails to make a wonderful design. But you can also use a little effort and create lovely designs with a bit of free hand painting.
Cute nail designs are always loved and adored. Today we will show you a cute panda nail art tutorial which is actually very easy to create. You will not need expensive things or a box full of rhinestones to create this easy design.
So let’s get started!
Panda Nail Art Tutorial
- Base coat (optional)
- Skin color nail polish
- White nail polish
- Black nail polish
- Glitter nail polish
- Transparent nail polish
- 2 toothpicks or dotting tools
If you have the habit of using a base coat then use 2 layers of base coat before starting out with the design. Now when the base coat is dried, cover the nails with 2 generous coats of a skin color nail polish like Victoria from Tips and Toes or any other similar nail polish which comes in skin color. This color will help the design to come alive. You can also use a grey color or dirty blue color for the base paint. Do not use very bright colors for the base paint.
Cover the lower half of the nails with the help of a dotting tool or toothpick’s blunt end with white polish. Make the shape something similar to circular or oval. This will ultimately become the head of the panda. Use two to 3 coats of white polish to give it a more opaque formation.
Use your dotting tool to carefully create the ears for the panda.
Use your dotting tool or the blunt end of a toothpick and black polish to create the eyeballs for the panda’s eyes.
Use the blunt end of a toothpick or dotting tool to give a small dot for the nose. Follow the picture above.

Use your dotting tool or the blunt end of the toothpick to properly use white polish on to the center of the black circles that you have created for the eyes. Make sure the white eye circles are tilted toward the center.
Put black polish for the eyeballs with the help of a dotting tool or the blunt end of a toothpick. Additionally add some glitter polish on to the ears for a more attractive look.
Lastly apply 2 layers of good quality transparent polish to seal in the beautiful design. After the design has been created, use a cotton bud or a piece of cotton stuck on a toothpick dipped into acetone or nail polish remover to clean the stray nail polishes from sides, if any. Additionally you can use nail art bows to make a female panda. If you use nail art ceramic or plastic bows then stick them with nail art glue or transparent polish on the head at one of the ears.
